Description
Fagus sylvatica, or common beech, is a shrub perfect for creating a dense, well-maintained hedge. Its bright green leaves turn into stunning warm shades of orange and red in autumn. Often, the dry leaves remain on the branches during winter, providing privacy and wind protection. It tolerates pruning well and suits formal, elegant gardens. Supplied as bare roots, it should be planted from October to April, avoiding frost periods.
